Collaborations are currently dominating the world of fashion. This INGENIOUS concept allows iconic designers to share their passion for fashion at affordable prices. Target, H&M, and Macy’s, to name a few, will ring in the 2012 New Year with upcoming collaborations.
Target: Jason Wu
Jason Wu, womenswear, accessory designer, designer, is preparing to launch his collection for Target on February 5, 2012. “My collection for Target embodies my signature aesthetic of feminine sophistication, with a mischievous nod to the 1960s,” stated Jason Wu.
Consuelo Castiglioni, the designer behind the Italian Label, Marni, will launch a Women and Menswear line for H&M on March 8, 2012. “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements,” said Castiglioni.
Doo-Ri Chung will be the first woman designer to collaborate with Macy’s. Her womenswear line will launch in stores and online February 15, 2012. “My clothes have always been about making women feel elegant and modern, which is why I am so excited about this capsule collection,” said Doo-Ri Chung. “It truly embodies the confidence and creativity of the modern woman.”
