Jean Paul Gaultier dedicates haute couture to Amy Winehouse

Yesterday, Jean Paul Gaultier brought the late songbird Amy Winehouse back to life in vivid form with an exquisite 2012 spring collection. His inspiration was clearly Amy, whimsical, creatively provocative, and retro. An acapella group performed some of the soul singer’s greatest hits during the show, while the models smoked cigarettes, in loving memory. Badass. I adore both this designer and the singer so much. Amy, you were an absolutely lovely, talented mess and the world will miss you sorely. At least your fashion legacy will live on through haute couture.

Rest in Peace, Amy Winehouse.
